Yes ! it’s official..Google’s next most ambitious Android update will be Android Ice Cream Sandwich. We have seen a number of different version of Android running on mobile phones and tablets. This ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ version of Android will be a unified version to eliminate the different fragmented versions. The new version will be smart enough to figure out which type of device the app is running on and then adjust accordingly.

Texas Instruments and Google are partnered on Ice Cream Sandwich, the next version of Android that will run on both phones and tablets. TI is not a big player in the Android tablets except Motorola Droids where Nvidias Tegra chips are dominated in its place. This will going to change with Ice Cream Sandwich and finally there will be a single version for mobile phone and Tablets.
