Which one to buy ? iPhone 3GS or Blackberry Bold 9700?

As a geek, my friends used to ask me whenever they wanted to buy a new mobile. I always maintained that buying a mobile is a well thought process. Mobiles now became very smart and it really in sync with our life each and every day. I  cant imagine a life without my ‘iPhone’ and my wife always used to say iPhone is my ‘second wife’. When you talk about smart phone there are two hotties that come in every body’s mind and they are iPhone 3GS and Blackberry Bold 9700. At the first look i think most of them fall in love with the glossy cool galm iPhone 3GS. Both phones are doing well in the market. iPhone is a glamour cum feature rich phone and at the same time Blackberry is business man’s phone. But in real I think iPhone is not less than being a business phone.

iPhone 3GS is the latest phone phone fro Apple with some fixes from their 2.1 version. The ‘S’ stands for Speed. The new features of this hottie include Compass, Video Recording, Voice Memo, Copy and Paste ( I love this feature), SMS Forwarding ( earlier version it was not quiet straight forward).

Blackberry Bold 9700 is an elegant black leather back and steel casing and light weight ( really, you feel you are not holding a phone of this kind) , Qwerty keypad ( same like computer keyboard ), and a new mouse pad in place of track ball of their earlier version, a lot faster than their predecessors.

So take is if you like the glam cute phone with lots of features and love to experiment with the applications( Apple has more applications in their Apps store than blackberry) they go for iphone. And if you are more like business type then opt for Blackberry as it already leading vendor in enterprise segment. As any other smart phone both of them got some pros and cons.

iPhone 3GS

Good : Looks, smooth multi touch (you dont need to hit, just a feather touch!), Fast Apple’s Safari Browser, Apps store with more than 1,000,000 applications. Just connect the internet through wifi or 3G/GPRS and download the application.Sync with office mails, gmail, yahoo, live mails or any other third party mails. Apart from that Apple’s own me.com account ( cost you 60 $) but you can have a full control on your phone. You can even locate your phone send message, delete all the data through internet if your phone lost!.

Bad : The main problem is if you are heavy user you will miss the multitasking, means you cannot use two application at the same time.Limited bluetooth functions, you will really get angry when you wanted to connect with other mobiles and no flash for camera.

Blackberry bold 9700

Good : All time favourite blackberry messenger, Qwerty keyboard, notifications for emails, type while you talk.,basically a business phone.

Bad : If you are in BIS apps you miss MS exchange wireless function. They really don’t love lappys and PCs, its really a headache to connect to PC or laptop to sync contacts.

BTW, I love iPhone 3Gs and in no way Blackberry attracts me as its really a pain to add application or even simply sync with calendar or contacts. :)
