The cat and mouse game begins. Yes its between the Apple iPhone developers and iPhone hacking community. The hacking community successfully jail broken all the previous versions of iPhone. Soon after Apple announced the new release the application development community closely watching the next move from iPhone-Dev-Team, the so called iPhone hacking community and they made it. The first working jailbreak toolRedsn0w 0.9.5 to jailbreak iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 1 has been released by iPhone-Dev-team. However Redsn0w 0.9.5 is targeted at developers of jailbroken apps. It uses the same pwnage2 DFU-mode exploit that we’ve been using since the 2.x days.
This active community of hackers closely watching Apple’s release of 4.0 as the community wont reveal the baseband they might have hacked. The jailbreaking is not meant for common users and they need to some development idea as if you have done wrongly it might that your iPhone wont work at all. Activation wont work right now as you’ll need a registered developer UDID with Apple to get over the activation screen. This version only support Mac.
In fact you need to wait till the iphone dev team comes up with the fully supported activation version.
